Overview
The hysteroscope is the gynecologist’s stethoscope, and it is central to modern gynecology. Diagnostic office hysteroscopy allows full visualization of the endometrial cavity and is essential for detecting focal lesions that are often missed with blind or non-directed endometrial sampling. Increasingly, operative hysteroscopy in both the office and Operating Room provides safe, effective, minimally invasive treatment for a wide range of intrauterine pathology.
