This surgical tutorial will begin with an in-depth review of the epidemiology of atypical or non-tubal ectopic pregnancy. The course will use images, video, and discussion to review the diagnosis of atypical ectopic pregnancy. Management options for each type of atypical ectopic will be reviewed in detail. The learning journey will emphasize tips and practices for successful treatment of atypical or non-tubal ectopic pregnancy, enhancing a surgeon’s ability to optimize outcomes.
Learning Objectives: After attending this session, the participant will be able to: 1) Outline the prevalence, anatomy, and natural history of atypical or non-tubal ectopic pregnancy; 2) Recognize clinical and imaging characteristics of atypical or non-tubal ectopic pregnancy; and 3) Employ management options and techniques for successful treatment of atypical or non-tubal ectopic pregnancy.
