This Surgical Tutorial will advance the participants knowledge in a novel single port robotics platform for GYN surgery. The single port robotics platform launched in 2019 and is approved in several countries globally for use in gynecologic surgery. Technological advances have allowed improvements in surgical instrumentation and ergonomics as compared to single site laparoscopy and the prior single site robotics platform. Surgeons will demonstrate both abdominal and robotic vNOTES applications for single port robotic surgery, demonstrating the unique aspect of the instrumentation along with exciting surgical video demonstrations including hysterectomy, sacrocolpopexy, and endometriosis excision.
Learning Objectives: After attending this session, the participant will be able to: 1) Recognize the novel platform that may have applications in Gynecologic surgery; 2) Employ the skills required to safely perform single port robotic surgery, including abdominal and vNOTES approaches; and 3) Recognize the different approaches necessary for single port robotic surgery as compared to multi-port surgery for hysterectomy, sacrocolpopexy, and endometriosis excision.
