Dr. Wright is the vice chair of gynecology and division director for Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai. She obtained her BS in Biomedical Engineering and MD from Texas A&M University. She completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital Combined Residency Program. She then completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS/CBG) at the Newton-Wellesley program. She is a global thought leader and has lectured and published widely on reducing the impact of US healthcare on patients, including cost-minimization for hysterectomy, implementing enhanced recovery after surgery, increasing telehealth utilization, increasing sustainability in the OR, and decreasing hospital waste production and carbon emissions. Additionally, she runs the endometriosis center at Cedars-Sinai, combining bench research and high-volume surgical care to learn more about the disease, leading to a publication of the a cellular atlas for endometriosis in Nature Genetics. She is interested in gender equity for female surgeons and their patients.
