Xiaoming Guan MD, Ph.D., graduated from the AAGL MIGS fellowship in 2011. He is dedicated to advancing minimally invasive surgery(MIGS) through creating and teaching innovative surgeries. Dr. Guan has received numerous awards in the process, including the ACOG CREOG National Faculty Award, AAGL best hysteroscopic award, Master Gynecologic Surgeon, and the AAGL Golden Laparoscopic award. As a meeting Chair, he has successfully held three international NOTES (Nature Orifice Transluminal Endoscopy Surgery) conferences in China, promoting the development of single-incision gynecology and vNOTES surgeries. Additionally, he also trained over 600 MIGS surgeons in single-site and vNOTES techniques. Finally, his team developed a novel technique for vNOTES sacrocolpopexy; while simultaneously specializing in the MIGS treatment of endometriosis, uterine fibroids, etc. Currently, he is serving as Professor, Division Chief, and The Fellowship Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine.
