Larissa Meyer is a Professor in the Departments of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine and Health Services Research at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She received a BA in Anthropology from Pomona College and a MD from Harvard Medical School. She is board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and has a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from The University of Texas.  She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Meyer provides care for individuals with gynecologic malignancies in a compassionate and coordinated fashion through surgery as well as chemotherapy and other systemic treatments. In addition to open surgery, Dr. Meyer performs specialized procedures in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery and sentinel lymph node mapping.  Dr. Meyer is a health services researcher with interest in patient-reported outcomes, shared medical decision making, cancer prevention, and quality improvement.
