The landscape of hereditary cancers continues to evolve. This course will review the principles of cancer risk assessment and the specific risks associated with the common genetic mutations encountered by the gynecologist. There will be specific focus on the management of patients with Lynch Syndrome and patients who are at risk for high grade serous ovarian cancer. Management of menopause after risk reducing surgery will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives: After attending this session, the participant will be able to: 1) Identify cancer risk associated with specific genetic mutations; 2) Employ proper management of patients with Lynch syndrome and those at risk for hereditary ovarian cancer; and
3) Utilize acceptable options for management of surgical menopause in patients who are at risk for hereditary gynecologic cancers.
