Scott W. Young, MD is an Associate Professor at Mayo Clinic and holds degrees in medical microbiology from Stanford University and in medicine from the University of California at Irvine. His clinical interests are in ultrasound and percutaneous ultrasound and CT-guided procedures, particularly solid organ tumor ablation and gynecologic interventions. Dr. Young is well-known in the United States for his expertise in the ultrasound diagnosis of deep endometriosis. He is the current chair of the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound Consensus Statement on Endometriosis and is the co-chair of the Disease Focused Panel on Endometriosis for the Society of Abdominal Radiology.
