Dr. Peter Rosenblatt received his B.A. from Brown University and his M.D. from Tufts University School of Medicine, in Boston. He completed an internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Massachusetts Medical School and subsequently completed a fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Brown University.  Since 1995, Dr. Rosenblatt has been the Director of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Mount Auburn Hospital, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He founded and served as the Director of the Fellowship Program in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Auburn Hospital from 1999 - 2010. Dr. Rosenblatt is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School and is board certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. He has an active clinical practice and specializes in laparoscopic reconstructive pelvic surgery and minimally invasive treatments for pelvic organ prolapse as well as urinary and fecal incontinence. Dr. Rosenblatt has authored many original research papers in urogynecology and laparoscopic surgery and serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for several peer reviewed journals in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He frequently lectures regionally, nationally and internationally on various topics including laparoscopic reconstructive pelvic surgery and innovation in gynecologic surgery.  He is the Past President (2019-2020) of the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons (SGS) and served on the Board of Directors of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) from 2012-2014. He has also been the video chair of SGS, AUGS, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). He won the prestigious Golden Laparoscope Award at AAGL in 2024 for his video, “Laparoscopic Cerclage Sacrohysteropexy for Uterine Prolapse.” He has invented and licensed technology to several major medical device companies and holds 18 patents in the field of urogynecology and general surgery. He is the inventor of the TOPAS procedure for the treatment of fecal incontinence.
