Dr. Moawad is Professor, Division Chief and the Program Director of the Center Of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic surgery (COEMIG) at the University Of Florida College Of Medicine. He serves as the Secretary-Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the AAGL and Chairs the Steering Committee of EMIGS. He graduated from Cairo University Faculty of Medicine and completed residency training at MacDonald Women’s Hospital of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is fellowship-trained in MIGS at Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he received extensive training in the state-of-the-art management of abnormal bleeding, fibroids, chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis.  During his fellowship, he completed a Masters in Clinical Research from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine. He has built a successful practice at UF Health that is dedicated to laparoscopic and robotic surgery for advanced endometriosis, pelvic pain, fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, and Mullerian anomalies, and he has special interest in fertility-sparing surgery. In addition, he has developed a successful program of office and operative hysteroscopy. He has authored numerous scientific articles, book chapters and a Clinical Case Book on fibroids, and is a international speaker and a subject matter expert on laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic surgery.
