Dr. Lisa Hickman is an associate professor in Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.  She trained at the Cleveland Clinic for her Ob/Gyn residency and Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellowship, during which time she developed a passion for the care of women with peripartum pelvic floor disorders.  She created the Postpartum Care Clinic during her fellowship, a dedicated clinic for this patient population, and upon joining the faculty at Ohio State, developed the Childbirth Pelvic Floor Disorders Clinic, which she is the director.  She also has an interest in enhanced recovery after surgery and uterine-sparing prolapse repairs and has published on these topics.  At OSUMC, she serves as co-chair of the Women in Medicine and Science Advocacy committee and she is active in both the AUGS and SGS.  Lastly, she serves as the Vice Chair for AAGL’s Urogynecology/Vaginal Surgery Special Interest Group.
