Speaker Bio
Caroline Kwon, MD, is a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her B.A. from Wellesley College in 2011 and subsequently spent four years in urban secondary education. During this period, she was a high school teacher at Fremont High School in Oakland, CA, through Teach For America, and worked in education operations with Uncommon Schools in Newark, NJ. Caroline’s commitment to helping others led her to pursue a career in medicine, aiming to address the healthcare disparities faced by disadvantaged communities. In 2015, she began her medical education at Rutgers RWJMS, where she also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery allows Caroline to leverage her strengths as an educator, advocate for all women, especially those suffering from chronic pelvic pain, and deliver high-quality medical and surgical care during their most vulnerable moments.
