Description

The safety of minimally invasive surgery is significantly augmented through improvements in image technologies used to enhance visualization and precision. The majority of new laparoscopic systems, including robotics, have fluorescence capabilities. However, optimal utilization of these tools is not well understood or implemented. In this course, we will demonstrate how to improve your technique when performing ureterolysis, retrosigmoidectomies, adhesiolysis, ureteral shaving, ovarian surgeries, and sentinel lymph nodes detections.

Learning Objectives: After attending this session, the participant will be able to: 1) Employ the use of image technologies during surgeries to enhance safety and precision; 2) Demonstrate improved hysteroscopic and laparoscopic resection skills with real time ultrasonic guidance; and 3) Access the use of applications of fluorescence and Near-Infrared (NIR) technologies during laparoscopic procedures, like ureterolysis, retrosigmoidectomies, adhesiolysis, ureteral shaving, ovarian surgeries, and sentinel lymph nodes detections.
