Nicolas Bourdel, MD, PhD is a Professor of Gynecologic Surgery (PU-PH) at Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital (CHU), France. A specialist in advanced laparoscopy—gynecologic oncology and deep endometriosis—he earned a PhD in computer-assisted surgery and spent a year as an invited scientist at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD). He has authored 200 Medline/PubMed-indexed publications. He also delivers numerous lectures internationally. Prof. Bourdel is the CEO and co-founder (2019) of SurgAR (Surgical Augmented Reality), a deep-tech company that develops AR/AI software to guide minimally invasive surgery.
