Luiz Brito is currently Associate Professor, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (USP). He was Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, School of Medical Sciences, University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2016–2025). He was also former Chair, Urogynecology Special Interest Group (SIG), and former Chair of the Publications Committee, American Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopy (AAGL) (2020–2022) ,Former Latin America Representative, International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) (2020–2023) and Former President, Brazilian Association of Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor (2020–2023). He has published several abstracts, some of the published at JMIG, and has 185 published peer-reviewed papers on PubMed, with a Google Scholar H-factor of 35. His research areas are focused on pelvic floor dysfunctions, uterine fibroids and transgender care.
