What is Happening in Endometriosis Online Communities? - Kristen Pepin and Frederica Bologna
Dr. Pepin and Ms. Bolonga of Cornell University and Weill Cornell Medicine have collaborated on an artificial intelligence program to analyze over 30,000 social media posts made by patients in endometriosis groups on Reddit. They are working on a similar project for fibroid groups. The speakers would be able to share what they have learned; what is important to patients in these forums, what types of posts are most popular, what patients are saying about doctors. This information would be invaluable for MIGS surgeons who often have to answer questions for patients about information that they read in these types of forums. Understanding what is important to patients is essential to improving the patient experience among those with Endometriosis.
