Although management of conventional tubal ectopic pregnancies are within the realm of the generalist OBGYN, the diagnosis and management of unconventional ectopics require expertise of the minimally invasive gynaecologist.  Ectopics such as interstitial pregnancies, cesarean scar pregnancies, and cervical pregnancies are becoming more and more common.  It is essential that the MIS surgeon has the knowledge and skill to evaluate and safely treat these pregnancies.    This course will focus on the diagnosis and surgical management of non-tubal ectopic pregnancies.  These include, cesarean scar pregnancy, interstitial pregnancy (cornual), cervical pregnancy, and other rare pregnancies (intra-myometrial, abdominal).  This course will provide you with surgical tips and tricks in surgically treating these conventional ectopic pregnancies.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:1) Diagnosis and treat the various types of cesarean scar pregnancies; 2) Utilize tips and tricks about surgical management of interstitial pregnancies; 3) Demonstrate techniques such as purse-string sutures, vasopressin, endoloop, hysteroscopic approach, etc.; 4) Recognize where surgical management fits in the treatment of cervical pregnancy and some of the complications that can arise; and 5) Perform diagnosis of these pregnancies using ultrasound.
