Speaker Bio
Dr. Bougie is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She attainted her medical degree at Queen's University and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Ottawa. She subsequently completed an AAGL Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynaecology at the University of Ottawa, as well as a Master of Public Health, Clinical Epidemiology at Harvard University. Olga Bougie is a gynecologic surgeon and clinician–scientist with a focused expertise in endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She is internationally recognized for her work on the pathophysiology, surgical management, and long-term health consequences of endometriosis. She is the Head of Research in Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain at the University of Toronto.
