Professor Guo received his PhD from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1991. From 1991 to 1996, he was Assistant and then Associate Research Scientist at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. From 1996 to 1999, he was Associate Professor at the Institute of Human Genetics, and the Division of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. From 1999 to 2007, he was tenured full professor at the Max McGee Research Center for Diabetes, the Dept. of Pediatrics, Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. After serving a three-year term directorship at the Institute of Obstetric and Gynecologic Research, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he has been Professor of Gynecology at Shanghai OB/GYN Hospital, Fudan University, since 2010. He also is Adjunct Professor at the Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, Michigan State University, USA. He is ranked by the Stanford University as one of the World’s Top 2% scientists, and recently received 2026 Harry Reich Award from the Endometriosis Foundation of America. He served as a Board member for the World Endometriosis Society (WES) and Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders (SEUD). He is the Founder and Board member and the past President (2017-2018) of the Asian Society of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis (ASEA). He is now a Member of Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) for the Endometriosis Foundation of America, Heranova Lifesciences, FIMMCYTE AG, E3A Healthcare, Foraviset, and Maipl Therapeutics. He also is a Member of the International Advisory Board, Taiwan Endometriosis Society. He was the Associate Editor for Human Reproduction Update, Human Reproduction, Reproductive Sciences, Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Therapy, and Journal of Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Disorders. Currently, he is the Co-Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders. He is also the Associate Editor for Human Reproduction Open, and sitting on the Editorial Board for Reproductive BioMedicine Online, Italian Journal of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Reproduction and Fertility, Obstetric and Gynecological Investigation, Journal of Clinical Medicine, and the Advisory Board of Trends in Molecular Medicine.
