26086: Safety and Strategy in Endometriosis Surgery: From Mapping to Mastery – Decision-Making for Complex Disease
Friday, November 13, 2026
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Room: RM302
Chairs: Helder Ferreira Sr., Mario M. Malzoni
Faculty: Helder Ferreira Sr., Mario M. Malzoni, Alessandra Di Giovanni, Amani Harris
Description: This interactive postgraduate course provides a practical, strategy-focused roadmap for safe and effective endometriosis surgery. Using expert surgical videos, real clinical cases, and evidence-based algorithms, four internationally recognized surgeons will teach: how to plan complex procedures how to execute safe dissection how to decide between conservative and radical approaches how to manage intraoperative challenges The course emphasizes the core philosophy: "Strategy first, technique second."
Learning Objectives: At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Develop a structured algorithm for preoperative evaluation and surgical planning in endometriosis. Identify key anatomic landmarks essential for safe dissection.
- Apply stepwise strategies for deep infiltrating endometriosis Choose the appropriate surgical extent based on symptoms and functional goals
- Recognize high-risk situations requiring multidisciplinary management Implement practical methods to prevent and manage complications
