PG-888: The Robotic Surgical Frontier: Advancing Efficiency, Innovation, and Governance in MIGS

Saturday, November 14, 2026
2:15 pm - 4:15 pm

Room: RM207

Chairs: Gaby N. Moawad

Faculty: Xiaoming Guan, Kathy Huang, Martin Martino

Description: As the landscape of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery shifts toward increasingly complex robotic integration, surgeons and program leaders must master more than just technique, they must master the "Connected OR." This course provides a high-level strategic and clinical roadmap for the next generation of robotic surgical practice. Bringing together expert faculty, the curriculum explores the convergence of cutting-edge hardware, data-driven governance, and emerging digital technologies.

This educational program is designed to empower gynecologic surgeons, program directors, and fellows to navigate the rapid evolution of robotic technology. Utilizing a masterclass approach, this course balances technical surgical innovation with the administrative realities of running a top-tier robotic program. Attendees will engage with faculty in both a didactic session and an interactive rapid-fire panel, fostering a collaborative environment for peer-to-peer expertise exchange. Whether focusing on complex reconstruction or institutional program management, this course equips participants with the actionable intelligence required to elevate their practice and redefine the standards of the modern robotic operating room.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this course, the participant will be able to: 1) Utilize 5th-generation da Vinci technology and optimized workflows to improve OR throughput; 2) Implement robust governance frameworks to ensure sustainable volume and surgical safety; 3) Explore the versatility of the SP platform and the integration of robotic assistance in vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery); and 4) Leverage AI-augmented surgical tools and advanced telementoring/teleproctoring capabilities to bridge training gaps and accelerate credentialing.
