Dr. Ursula Catena is a leading figure at the Digital Hysteroscopic Clinic, “CLASS Hysteroscopy Center,” in the Division of Gynecological Oncology at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli - IRCCS in Rome. Since January 2021, she has served as a Coordinator of the Policlinico Gemelli Clinical Pathway dedicated to women of reproductive age with malignant endometrial cancer. Since October 2023, she has also been a Coordinator for the Clinical Pathway focusing on individuals with congenital anomalies of the female genital tract.Dr. Catena is a Full Member of the Executive Board of the European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE) and serves as Chair of the ESGE Special Interest Group (SIG) in "Hysteroscopy," in addition to being a member of the ESGE SIG on "Innovation in Surgery." She has played a key role in the development of the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment (GESEA) program within the ESGE. She is the Chief Mentor for the GESEA Training and Certification Center at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli - IRCCS in Rome.Dr. Catena also represents ESGE on the EBCOG (European Board & College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) Standing Committee on Training and Assessment (SCTA).
