Dr. Sarah Maheux-Lacroix is a gynecologist and Associate Professor at the CHU de Quebec – Laval University in Canada. She directs the fellowship program in Minimally Invasive Gynecology and is co-chair of the Canadian Women’s Health Investigators for Surgical Excellence and Research (CanWISER). She completed a specialty in obstetrics-gynecology (2015), as well as a MSc (2010) and PhD (2018) in epidemiology at Laval University, in Quebec, Canada, and a fellowship in Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at UNSW, in Sydney, Australia (2017). She has authored >100 publications (H-index=15), been cited >1600 times and participated in the redaction of clinical guidelines for AAGL, FIGO and the SOGC. She has received the SOGC's Excellence in Research Award in 2025 and the Early Achievement Career Award from CanSAGE in 2025 for her realizations in minimally invasive gynecology, as well as several awards for best oral presentations. Her clinical practice and research focus on the management of endometriosis and its diagnosis by advanced ultrasound.
