Mark R. Hoffman, MD is Chief Medical Officer of UKHealthCare’s Good Samaritan Hospital. He is a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Prior to his CMO role, he served as the chief of the division of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and medical director of the operating rooms at Good Samaritan Hospital. He is in his thirteenth year of clinical practice, following residency at the University of Chicago and fellowship in minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery and chronic pelvic pain at the University of Michigan. He is a native of Lexington, KY, and after completing a Bachelors in English Literature at the University of Michigan, he spent a year with AmeriCorps*Vista in New York City before returning home for medical school at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Hoffman serves as the director of the multidisciplinary fibroid and endometriosis programs, he served as director of the third-year medical student clerkship during his first six years on faculty, and he is active in numerous national societies. He served on AAGL’s Fellowship in Minimally-invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGS) board, as well as ACOG’s Committee on Health Economics and Coding (CHEC), including two years as chair of that committee.
