Dr. Magdy Milad is the Albert B. Gerbie Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Northwestern Medicine. He oversees the Center for Complex Gynecology at Northwestern, a unique, multidisciplinary clinic for complex, benign, complex gynecologic conditions. He previously served as the Residency Program Director for 13 years at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and Fellowship Director for 8 years. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility as well has having the ABOG Focused Practice in MIGS certification. He has authored over 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He serves as a reviewer to multiple journals. He has mentored over 500 residents and fellows in advanced endoscopic techniques and has been either course director or faculty member for over 200 training programs including the AAGL, APGO, CREOG and ACOG surgical skills courses. He has worked with ACGME-international to develop training accreditation outside the US, and has been centrally involved in the FMIGS programs nationally and internationally. In recognition of his teaching skills, he recently received the 2024 APGO Lifetime Achievement award. His areas of interests are surgical safety and reducing complications.
