Dr. Cara King is a member of the Cleveland Clinic Section of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. She is the Section Head of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Medical Gynecology, Program Director of the MIGS Fellowship, and Director of Innovation for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Institute. She completed her residency training at Tufts University, Baystate Medical Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Magee-Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She obtained her Master's Degree in Medical Education from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She has served on the executive board of the AAGL Fellowship Board, the AAGL Board of Directors as North American Representative, and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons Executive Board. She is the founder and previous host of their collaborative podcast "Gynecologic Surgeons Unscrubbed." Dr. King also serves as the President of the Academy for Surgical Coaching and is a Surgeon Coach through the Academy. Dr. King is a two-time recipient of the Golden Laparoscope Award and has completed course work in the Surgical Education Scholars Program through APGO/CREOG, Performance Coaching, and Simulation Education. She has earned multiple teaching awards for education endeavors for both medical students and residents, including the Ellen Hartenbach Award for Innovation in Simulation.
