Dr. Hubert Fornalik is a Gynecologic Oncologist practicing in Indiana, USA since 2010. He works with high-risk population. He performs 90 percent of his major cases robotically. He serves as a faculty for IRCAD course in Strassburg, France on surgeries in morbidly obese and on gynecologic oncology. He has published one of the best results of endometrial cancer staging surgeries in morbidly obese patients with BMI>40: the lowest conversion rate, the highest number of harvested lymph nodes, the highest number of patients per year, one of the highest proportion of patients undergoing complete lymphadenectomy (data from before sentinel lymph nodes era). According to PubMed, his team was the first, to report the successful case of minimally invasive (robotic) hysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy without usage of Trendelenburg position. In 2018, based on his experience in deep pelvic surgery with nerve-sparing robotic radical hysterectomies, he was one of the first to suggest feasibility of robotic uterine harvesting for uterine transplant.
