Dr. Gili Yovel is a senior staff physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center. She also currently heads the Sexual Assault Emergency Care and Evaluation Service and guides the integration of trauma-informed care practices within her department. Her professional focus is on advancing excellence in gynecology, with a particular interest in benign gynecological conditions and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS). She is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care that is accessible and responsive to women across diverse backgrounds and risk states. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Yovel has initiated and led projects designed to strengthen women’s health services. These include spearheading a national convention on trauma-informed care in obstetrics and gynecology, securing grants to expand support for women experiencing pregnancy loss, and leading a multidisciplinary program for childbirth preparation tailored to women with emotional trauma and chronic pain conditions. She is also engaged in teaching, guiding medical students during their ObGyn rotations. She is married to Dr. Eldad Saragosti, a pediatric neurologist, and together they are raising three children. She enjoys hiking, diving, and exploring nature, which restore her energy and perspective. Through her professional and personal journey, Dr. Yovel strives to contribute to a healthcare system that combines surgical and clinical excellence with compassion, accessibility, and empowerment for all women.
