Dr. Erica Pascoal is a fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon. Dr. Pascoal completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto, followed by residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at McMaster University. She went on to pursue subspecialty training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) through a fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital, affiliated with the University of Toronto, which she completed earlier this year. This training provided her with advanced expertise in laparoscopic, robotic, and vaginal surgical techniques, and in the multidisciplinary management of complex gynecologic pathology.In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Pascoal recently obtained a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from Queen’s University. This academic foundation supports her broader vision of improving care delivery through innovation, education, and system-level thinking. Her academic interests include the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient education tools and decision aids, clinical care pathways, and surgical simulation. She is particularly interested in how these initiatives can enhance informed decision-making, patient experience, and surgical outcomes.As she begins her career in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Pascoal looks forward to offering specialized MIGS care with a practice focused on the management of complex gynecologic conditions, with particular interests in endometriosis, fibroids, chronic pelvic pain, robotic-assisted surgery, vaginal surgery, and pelvic organ prolapse repair.
