Video content is a fantastic way to build excitement for your session. Here are a few tips on what to focus on and how to share your video:

Video Tips

  • Start by introducing your session topic and outlining the key takeaways.
  • Keep the video short and to the point - aim for 45-60 seconds.
  • Post your video on your professional social media accounts and remember to use the Congress hashtag #AAGL25.
  • Don't forget to share your video with AAGL! Send it to marketing@aagl.org for a chance to have it featured on the Congress website and social channels.

Tips for Filming on Your Phone

  • Lighting & Background: Choose a well-lit, clean and simple background. If filming indoors, position yourself facing a window and turn on additional lights.
  • Video Quality: For clearer, sharper videos, make sure to adjust your phone's video resolution. On iPhone: Go to Settings > Camera > Record Video > select 4K at 45 fps. On Android: Open your Camera app > Settings > Video Quality > choose Full HD.
  • Orientation: Hold your phone horizontally to ensure the video fills the screen properly.
  • Stability: Use a tripod if possible. If you don't have one, get creative!
  • Framing: Position the phone closer to you instead of using the zoom feature, which can reduce video quality.
  • Audio: Film in a quiet room and turn off any background noise like fans. This will help keep the sound quality clear.
  • Script & Rehearsal: Prepare a script and rehearse beforehand, position a device next to the camera with a few bullet points to help guide your presentation.
