Description: Public speaking skills are essential for career growth. Effective communication is crucial in the operating room. Being able to present your ideas clearly leads to better interaction with patients, their family members, colleagues, and ancillary staff. Whether delivering an informative speech to the community, describing a surgical intervention, or advocating for a cause, strong public speaking skills allow one to connect with listeners. This course will expose different techniques that will provide the attendees with tips and tricks for effective communication that can be implemented in clinical practice or when presenting at public events. Moreover, we will demonstrate how to use currently available technology to make impressive videos to demonstrate your ideas. Lastly, we will explain how to take advantage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to elevate your presentations to the next level. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss with the experts the challenges encountered when subjected to public speaking.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
