Design: Using an example of a clinical case of a hysterectomy of a large uterus with multiple fibroids, we describe the PH-FEVE technique as well as its advantages.
Setting: Vaginal extraction of large and bulky uterus in hysterectomy
Patients or Participants: We describe the case of a 48 year old patient without surgeries, nubile and with no pregnancies, with diagnosis of abnormal uterine bleeding secondary to multiple fibroids
Interventions: Hysterectomy and vaginal extraction using PH-FEVE technique
Measurements and Main Results: Safe and easy vaginal extraction of a large uterus with multiple fibroids is achieved without complications, with this technique.
Conclusion: This technique is useful in nubile patients or with no pregnancies and for bulky uterus with large fibroids which could make the extraction difficult, so we can prevent tears of the vaginal vault and reduce surgical time.
