Abstract
Study Objective: to show how a non-communicating rudimentary horn pregnancy in the late first trimester can be safely managed laparoscopically
Design: case report
Setting: Operating room at a tertiary care center. Patient in dorsal lithotomy position. Four 5mm trocars were placed (umbilicus, right and left lower quadrants, right mid-abdomen)
Patients or Participants: 38 year old G4P1021 with a known left unicornuate uterus and right non-communicating rudimentary horn who found to have a pregnancy in the rudimentary horn at 10w2d by LMP. Surgery occured at 12w1d.
Interventions: Laparoscopic excision of rudimentary horn containing the ectopic pregnancy
Measurements and Main Results: n/a
Conclusion: An ectopic pregnancy in a rudimentary horn can be safely excised laparoscopically in the late first trimester
