Design: Surgical video
Setting: Tertiary care center
Patients or Participants: Postmenopausal women with pelvic organ prolapse requesting surgical management.
Interventions: Supracervical hysterectomy followed by a vaginal sacrocolpopexy using vNOTES assistance. Patients are sent home the day of the procedure with follow-up in the office in 2 weeks.
Measurements and Main Results: The surgery has been successfully completed on eight patients thus far. Patients have reported satisfaction with their procedure and with only one known postoperative complication to date.
Conclusion: Vaginal sacrocolpopexy using vNOTES assistance is a safe and reproducible procedure. Limited evidence exists regarding this technique. We are enthusiastic to add to this body of work, however, long term outcomes are still unknown and more studies need to be performed to confirm the accuracy of our outcome.
