Design: Case report detailing the surgical outcomes after application of anti-adhesion gel.
Setting: The patient was placed in the lithotomy position, and bilateral ureteric injection of indocyanine green dye was performed via cystoscopy. Three laparoscopic ports were utilized, including an optic trocar.
Patients or Participants: A case report of a 43 year-old woman after 17 months of endometriosis surgery.
Interventions: Surgical excision of endometriosis foci followed by application of an anti-adhesion gel. Subsequent ressection of a isthmocele with aid of ICG injection was a opportunity to evaluate pelvic structural integrity.
Measurements and Main Results: Women with symptomatic endometriosis who underwent surgery followed by application of an anti-adhesion gel. Reproductive outcomes and pelvic structural integrity were favorable since the patient got pregnant 4 months after surgery. The adhesions were analyzed according the American Fertility Society adhesion score, with low rate score.
Conclusion: In conclusion, the endometriosis surgery coupled to the application of anti-adhesion gel was able to prevent postoperative adhesions, ensured pelvic structural integrity and resulted in a great reproductive outcome.
