Abstract
Study Objective: A case report of third trimester diagnostic laparoscopy revealing spontaneous hemoperitoneum.
Design: Diagnostic laparoscopy revealing spontaneous hemoperitoneum in a 39 years old patient with prior two cesarean deliveries diagnosed with placenta percreta.
Setting: OBGYN department, tertiary medical center.
Patients or Participants: a 39 years old patient with prior two cesarean deliveries diagnosed with placenta percreta.
Interventions: Diagnostic laparoscopy followed by laparotomy (cesarean delivery).
Measurements and Main Results: patient outcome.
Conclusion: Laparoscopy during pregnancy should be avoided due to the associated risks, yet when acute abdomen is suspected - laparoscopy may save lives.
