Dr. Fariba Mohtashami is a Clinical Professor and head of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. She is a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon at St. Paul’s Hospital, where she is the site head of the Department of OBGYN. She is a Board Member of the Canadian Society for the Advancement of the Gynecological Excellence (CanSAGE). She is involved in surgical education, mentorship, and coaching at various international and national conferences and post-graduate courses by AAGL and the European Union by the Dutch Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (IRCAD). Dr. Mohtashami advocates for equal pay and equitable access to academic funding and hospital resources for the care of female reproductive organs, pregnant or not.
