I’m Dr. Igor Chiminacio, a Brazilian gynecologic surgeon specializing in en-bloc excision of deep endometriosis. I advocate for the embryological origin of endometriosis and adenomyosis, challenging the retrograde menstruation theory. My work focuses on complete disease removal based on Müllerian embryology to restore quality of life and fertility. At AAGL 2025, I’m presenting the “Octopus Concept” and "The black hole effect"  a new way to understand nerve entrapment in endometriosis.
