ENDO-601: Post Hysterectomy Deep Endometriosis: Strategies to Overcome the Surgical Complexity

Description

This is a two-hour postgraduate course that focuses on management of complex post-hysterectomy deep endometriosis cases with significant focus on surgical management and enhancing the required skills to optimize the perioperative outcomes. The course will demonstrate, with video presentation, all the tips and tricks required to simplify the surgical care for patients with complex deep endometriosis post-hysterectomy. We will also demonstrate appropriate workup to optimize patients for the OR and discuss how to counsel and manage these women postoperatively.

Learning Objectives: After attending this session, the participant will be able to: 1) Describe the surgical approach for deep pelvic endometriosis in patient who underwent hysterectomy; 2) Identify techniques needed to mitigate the distorted planes in cases with deep endometriosis post-hysterectomy; and 3) Optimize pre-op imaging and multidisciplinary team approach to tackle this difficult complex disease.
