Dr. Tavcar graduated from Belgrade University, School of Medicine. She completed OBGYN Residency at Clinical Center of Serbia. After that she moved with her family to the United States and completed OBGYN Residency at Medstar Georgetown University in Washington DC. She then pursued fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Newton Wellesley Hospital, MassGeneralBrigham in Boston, which she successfully completed. Upon fellowship graduation, she returned to Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, in Washington DC, where she currently works as an attending physician and Assistant Professor of OBGYN. She published authored and coauthored multiple studies and presented at numerous conferences. She is actively involved with AAGL and SGS where she served on multiple committees and is currently the Chair of AAGL Hysteroscopy SIG.
