Webinar Description: Bladder pain is commonly encountered in patients presenting for endometriosis care and gynecologic surgery evaluation. This case-based webinar, hosted by the AAGL Urogynecology and Vaginal Surgery Special Interest Group, equips gynecologic and minimally invasive surgeons with the tools to identify and manage bladder-centered pain as well as other conditions that may present as dysuria or bladder pain. Through real-world cases, we will work through the diagnosis and management of interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome, surgical contributors such as bladder stones and sling complications, and vulvoperineal dermatologic conditions including lichen sclerosus, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and perineal scarring. Attendees will leave with a practical framework for workup, initial management, and knowing when and how to refer — all within the context of comprehensive pelvic pain care.

Webinar Course Objective(s):
1) Identify key bladder-centered etiologies of chronic pelvic pain — including interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome
2) Recognize vulvar and perineal dermatologic conditions as contributors to pelvic pain and distinguish their clinical
features from other pain generators.
3) Apply a systematic, case-based approach to workup and initial management of bladder pain syndromes within a
gynecologic surgery practice.
4) Determine when to treat, when to refer, and how to coordinate multidisciplinary care for patients with complex or
overlapping pelvic pain diagnoses.
