Professor Attilio Di Spiezio Sardo received his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2000, his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005, and his PhD in Human Development, Reproduction, and Growth in 2008. He is currently a Full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the School of Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Naples "Federico II," Italy. Since 2020, he has also been the Head of the Departmental Program "Prophylactic Surgery, Day Surgery, and Hysteroscopy" at the Department of Maternal and Child Health at the University Hospital "Federico II" in Naples. He is the author of over 270 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals, two books on hysteroscopy (translated into English and Chinese), more than 40 book chapters, and one educational DVD. He has been awarded the Golden Hysteroscope Award three times (2008, 2015, and 2021) for the best scientific paper presented at the Annual Congress of the American Association of Gynecological Endoscopy (AAGL). He has been an invited speaker at more than 500 national and international conferences and has actively organized 40 national and international scientific courses and conferences. He is currently a member of the Academy of the European Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (ESGE) responsible for the development and management of guidelines and clinical recommendations. He also contributed to the development of the ESGE's Gynecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment (GESEA) program. He is currently chair of a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (SEGI) with responsibility for relations with the Global Community on Hysteroscopy (GCH). Finally, he has been President in 2024 and 2026 of the International Meeting for the evaluation of Uterine factor in infertile couples (Hartus Congress)
