Provide an overview of evidence-based surgical principles of myomectomy to increase safe utilization and patient access to this uterine-sparing procedure.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this course, the participant will be able to: 1) Define access to and the role of uterine sparing myomectomy for patients suffering from fibroid-related symptoms; 2) Apply evidence-based strategies to optimize preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative outcomes to develop a myomectomy protocol for your practice; 3) Avoid complications (uterine rupture, Asherman’s, hemorrhage, infection, adhesions); and 4) Utilize the various surgical modalities for myomectomy and tips for success including why the surgeon may choose a specific modality.
